Go to her office hours, and you'll do just fine. Definitely not an easy class, but neither is any stats class. A lot of homework is involved. You don't need to do most of the readings in the textbook, though.

Great guy. SO nice. Office hours definitely help. Tough grader, but that's because Portico is very cutthroat, no matter who you have.
Had her for my lab section for my complex problems course (Crisis and Storytelling). She was the GOAT. SO nice and always understanding. Always available and happy to help as well.
If you need an arts elective, definitely take her. The class is simple and interesting, and she is a very nice person. She is flexible with deadlines, provides freebies if you need to miss class, and participation required to get full credit is minimal.
Professor Brittingham is an awesome guy. He is very passionate about philosophy and loves what he does. Lectures were often cut short or canceled. The workload is very manageable (just readings and short papers), which he grades fairly easily.
Professor Mendelsohn is a great person. The actual day-to-day class is very easy with minimal work. However, his grading on exams is extremely inconsistent and unclear. Also, he does not allow computers, which means that notes on every reading (very long) are essential.
I highly recommend taking Portuguese with Prof. Da Cunha; he is passionate about teaching and making sure that you learn both grammar and the language. He is very available after class, and he is also great with his students.
Grew on me a lot throughout the semester. Not gonna be the easiest FYW grader, but she's not unfair, and getting an A is pretty manageable. HW isn't bad at all and she's generous with extensions as long as you ask within a reasonable time.
Tough grader. The readings were useless and the only thing that mattered was how well you regurgitate what she thinks.
SPAN2216 · Spanish Conversation, Composition, and Reading II
Don't take her class if you don't already speak spanish fluently.
Super interesting class, and Prof Scheufele is obviously very passionate about what she does. She also cares a lot about her students and is more than willing to help you out if you're struggling. This is a hard class though, there's a lot of content but you will learn a lot.
ENGR1801 · Making the Modern World: Design, Ethics & Engineering
Not the best at explaining things, especially complex engineering problems and I found myself most of the time teaching the material to myself. The MMW class is interesting, but the engineering lectures were not great and often times very confusing and way too fast.
I didn't study well for the first test, and it screwed my grade, but overall, Professor Cooley is a very solid and nice guy. 70% of the grade is 3 tests and a paper, the other 30% is gimme points basically.
She is a very kind person and great teacher but her tests are very hard. Lectures are fast paced and a lot of information is covered. The averages on tests are fairly low but there is a curve. Definitely a hard class but she offers a lot of office hours and help to anyone who needs!
Had him for calc II for pre-med/econ students and he was great. He tries to make Calculus entertaining and engaging. Homework takes a lot of time but is manageable. There are a lot of quizzes, and the tests are pretty nit-picky. Make sure to really go over the notes for the tests.
Took for Modernism and Avant-garde, 1900-1945. Really enjoyed the class and prof is just phenomenal. Interesting content and he's always available outside of class to help and is super responsive to student emails. Could not recommend more.
Super knowledgeable, great professor, and really wants to help students succeed. Exercises and practice exams are super helpful. Definitely difficult exams and you'll need to prepare well to get top 15% for A (csom curve), but overall phenomenal class with great prof.
Super smart and down to earth, usually 30 pages per class sometimes more but manageable if you break it up. Not the end of the world if you miss a reading or two. My favorite class and professor so far if there is slots open take his class.
A decent amount of work for a Theo core class, but Prof Vos is beyond understanding and flexible, personable, and passionate about the content. You'll learn a lot, and with decent effort, get an A. Always responsive to emails and available outside of class.
POLI2440 · A Continent on the Move: Immigration in Contemporary Europe
Felt as though she got a little nitpicky with grading toward the end, but overall good class that wasn't too hard. She's responsive to emails, very warm and friendly, and always available for extra help. Very passionate about subject matter as well.
Interesting lectures and assignments, but be prepared for HELLA work outside of class and random excursions that take up 4-6 hours of your day randomly. Getting an -A to A is definitely achievable, just requires effort.
This class wasn't hard, but sometimes it was hard to follow what was happening in the classroom. He grades his essays based on whether you structured it exactly how he asked you to. He really values class participation, making it 20% of your grade. Attendance is necessary or else your grade drops.
Prof. Bernava is an excellent professor with such great intentions. He wants all of his students to do well and is enthusiastic in his teaching. He would bring us Dunkin' Donuts to class all the time.
An excellent professor for introducing students to college-level writing. Integrates her outgoing personality into discussions and is a generous grader that sets aside time to get to know every student's story through meaningful assignments and one-on-one meetings. Would definitely recommend.
Great overall: explains material at a clear, followable pace (albeit verbosely with sidetracks into videos/news articles). She's cheery in character, available outside of class, and a generous grader with often tough but fairly structured exams. Would definitely recommend.
Easy class, I just didn't study and got cooked. Put in a ounce of effort and this class is free.
She is super nice and helpful. This is a hard class, and it will not be easy w anyone.
Actual goat. He was goated. Such a funny guy, and really unique class structure. Hit him first class with Warren Buffet's quote that accounting is the backbone of business and it's over. Make sure to build a relationship.
Good professor, very chill and very kind, I learned a lot in her class! But you better study really hard if you want to do well on her tests. Lots of memorization.
Good at teaching, can explain material very well, prepared, available and willing to explain problems in office hours. HOWEVER, he is incredibly condescending and rude at times, he is not very sympathetic to students who are struggling, and he is a very harsh grader.
