One of the best Philosophy of the Person professors at BC. Very well organized class, he genuinely wants every student to succeed. Review sessions before all exams and always more than available outside of class. Midterm, final, and projects all very straightforward. Highly recommend!!!
She might be the nicest lady on planet earth. I wouldn't say the class is easy, but she is an awesome teacher and even better person. My favorite professor at BC so far.
Actually the goat, gave us turkish snacks
literally so bad
Shes awesome. Definitely says some out of pocket stuff but it's funny and the workload is super light
Great professor! Sweet and available outside of class, highly recommend.
At Boston College, lectures were often unfocused, with frequent off-topic digressions. Class time included questions that didn’t add much to learning. The course emphasized specific ideological views, and grading felt harsh for an elective, reflected in a low midterm average.
There is truly no greater professor at BC like if you can take him please for the love of God take him he is the GOAT. I want to take him for every class ever at BC
The best Professor in the entire world. You can not graduate without taking his class. Would retake the same class every semester if I could. So easy and so fun. TAKE HIM
Genuinely the best class ever you will regret not taking philosophy with jesse I have so much fun every class.
Take this class! Super nice professor, who cares a lot. Ended early a lot and no exams, just online reading questions and activities that are honestly really interesting.
He's a very nice guy who tries to make lectures as engaging as possible for a class with boring content. The class is mostly just history, and the quizzes are very difficult. The TA mostly grades essays and exams. There are so many easier core classes.
Absolutely loved this class. Prof. Eshleman is one of my favorite professors in this school. I took this class as a freshman willing to try out the Classics department here, and after a week in her class I declared it as a major. She is truly kind and always willing to chat or help out.
No.
absolutely love! very kind and understanding, and does her best to make the class interesting. wish i could take more with her
Hard to know what she expects on papers and other large assignments, but nice.
Super awkward but nice. Decent amount of work but easy A.
Hartmann's lectures are slightly boring and you don't need to ever attend them- all recorded. He is a nice guy but exams are so much more challenging than homework or discussion worksheets. Hard to get an A
You will never have an easier class.
I had him for Calc 2. He's overall a super nice, funny, and chill guy. He often confuses himself while teaching, but it always makes class super funny. Exam difficulty can be super hit or miss.
250 students in the beginning of the semester. 100 left by the end of it. That should tell you a lot about his classes. BTW im not talking about add/drop period, they left right before the final
Had Hartmann for life science chem. He was very chill and helpful outside of class, too. Got an A with my AP chem knowledge and little to no studying outside of class (doing the hw was enough). Super easy class and super fun professor.
Very friendly professor who genuinely does care about his students understanding the content. Have to admit the homework cycle is a little strange and left me wishing there was more practice content for the exams. Grades fairly
genuinely my favorite guy in the world. had him last semester and miss him everyday. actually the goat (but don't take advantage of it)!!
actual content is pretty easy, what makes this class hard is the amount of content on each exam. So much to memorize and missing 5 questions tanks your exam grade. put in the work and you'll be fine. i didn't pay attention to a single lecture and ending w an A-
The course content is not hard, but the sheer amount of content is what makes this class difficult. There are a lot of small assignments, but they aren’t worth much so your grade is basically determine by how you do on exams. And overall, Professor DaCosta is a good lecturer.
Love our Lynch Professors. That class was super insightful. There were quizzes that you definitely needed to study for but she is always open for office hours and questions. She truly cares about what is going on in people's lives so if you bomb a test she will work with you.

She was so great! Always kept class entertaining and was super flexible with deadlines. There are two papers that are extremely easy and two exams that are the same. Sometimes the information she gives isn't super accurate. Overall, it was a fun class, and she's amazing to talk to.
FERRARO IS THE BEST!!!! 100% recommend him everyone loves him. Do whatever you can to take his class. He is great for both elementary and intermediate.
