Took for Engaging Catholicism. Probably the best professor I've had at BC. Warm personality, incredible at conveying material, completely understanding and flexible. Class was enjoyable and very easy to do well in. Could not recommend more, simply the best.
Professor Erickson definitely has good intentions with her students but this class was way too hard to be an intro course. I got an overall low grade despite putting as much effort as I could, going to office hours very often. Other IR professors would be a better choice.
Lovely and kind woman who really just wants the class to engage with her teaching. Tests were hard but fair and very easy to do well on if you really put the time and effort into them. She is much better than the other bio professors from what I have heard.
Class starts out pretty hard with the quizzes, but they get easier, with the final being super easy. He is super knowledgeable, the material is certainly not boring, and he is interested in the students learning. Very easy to get an A if you do the readings.
Awesome dude. His class is pretty interesting if you buy into it (Animals in literature), and he genuinely is excited to teach and for the students to learn. One of the most kind and passionate teachers I have ever had. Class is easy and grading is so light too. Love this guy
Spanish at BC is boring and kinda sucks no matter who your teacher is, but Hernandez is really a wonderful woman who cares about you as an individual and honestly wants you to learn spanish and hispanic culture. Grading is tough tho
Great guy, but definitely a weeder class. I did really well in his class, but you have to work really hard outside of the classroom. Do all of the practice sets and problems from the textbook and you’ll do fine. Granted that takes a huge amount of time, but at least he’s fair about grading.
Do not take this class unless you’re interested in an English major. While I learned a lot in this class, specifically about how to appeal to other’s perspectives, it’s just too much. Peer reviews take 10 hours and he only gives you 5 days to do them. Nice guy but no.
Good guy, but nothing extraordinary. The spanish classes at BC are all kinda the same so the teacher does not matter too much. He’s bad with emails and explaining some things but is an overall good teacher.
Professor Rozonoer's class can be very boring and slow at times, but if you take good notes and study a bit before the exams and quizzes, you'll do fine.
One of the best professors I have had at BC. She really makes the material easy to learn, and the coursework is extremely light and manageable. Overall, a great class to take for arts core and a great professor for an introductory music theory course.
Attendance is required plus pop quizzes. Tough grader on the midterms but attendance + pop quizzes make enough of the grade to make up for it. Lecture can get a little boring but he's a funny guy and will try to make the content engaging.
Amazing professor and always kept the class engaged! The topics are super interesting and are applicable even if you're not pre med or looking into healthcare. Course load is two exams and journal entries + final reflection project which are all super manageable.
Super engaging teacher who always has a ton of energy. Grade is made up of 3 exams, a group project, and participation. Exams are multiple choice and short answer, the final was entirely multiple choice.
Genuinely one of the worst professors I have ever had in my life. Please do not take her class if you want to take perspectives because she will ruin your life and grade
Nice guy, and truly cares about all his students. You can see he is obviously passionate about art history and it makes his classes even more engaging.
Never took econ in my life, and took Erbil's principles course as a non-econ major. Honestly, not too hard, but tests are not easy by any means. HUGE lecture but an A is attainable
Such a great professor. You need to go to class to do well on exams, but the content is so interesting and she is super engaging. I 100% recommend taking her class.
I loved this class, favorite at BC so far. Great professor and so caring towards his students. If you are interested in philosophy, theology, and exploring some big questions, then this class is 100% for you
This class was not very intellectually stimulating at all, so if you are looking for that then this class is not for you. I only missed two lectures the entire semester and still did only ok on exams. I wish I would have taken a different class to fulfill this core.
Required three papers and a final portfolio. The workload is manageable compared to other FYW sections. She provides detailed feedback and is very helpful during office hours. The assigned readings are relevant and connect well to the course projects.
Such a good teacher. Cold calls but you can pass. Attendance optional but highly recommended. Weekly HW. 2 midterms and a final, all somewhat hard, but if you follow the sequence of reading -> in-class work -> hw -> study, you will do well. Very thorough practice exams given.
The lectures were quite hard to understand. Hard grader too. But it is an ok class.
Took her for the intro to art history. Very friendly and helpful. As for the class, just take good notes and memorize some paintings. That's all.
Great guy. Hard class but very entertaining at the same time. I never thought a hard class like this could be fun, but it was. If your GPA is in a good shape, live a little, take this class and watch it drop.
Took his blockchain class. Absolutely amazing and super chill. Definitely a good pick for CS elective.
Hardest class I have ever taken in my life. Tough grader, difficult exams, and difficult homework. Barely understood anything from his lectures.
So funny and nice, definitely take him if you want to take CTK
Tupelo was incredibly supportive throughout the semester and is a really great professor. I loved the structure of his class and would definitely recommend taking one of his courses is you get the opportunity!
Nothing that you learn in class had ANYTHING to do with what is on the THREE tests you take that determine your entire grade. If you have not taken stats he will teach you nothing.
