A fun and theatrical prof but would advise caution if you have academic accommodations. (Wish that I could say "maybe" for recommending, rather than just yes or no.) He's not intentionally discriminatory, but I had much more difficulty getting my full accommodations in this class than in others.
I was nervous going into this class that Dr. Das's class would be bad, but after taking it, the reviews were very wrong. Her tests accurately reflect the content we learned in class, and she doesn't want her students to memorize information, rather understand how things make sense in biology.
Very smart, uses current events, engaging, kind, helpful, great guy awesome class. the structure is a little sloppy at times and there is some confusion between TAs and professor and some unclear things but this will get worked out over time.
Nicest happiest lady ever but if you've never played piano - good luck
Makes things seem harder than they are and classes feel slow, but she is very nice.
Nicest guy of all time, class usually gets out ~10 mins early, very clear and obvious what will be on the test material is kinda hard but if you pay attention you will do well
Awesome guy, very nice and helpful. You learn so much and he is very knowledgeable about Beethoven. Kinda tough grader on the papers, but he is very helpful in office hours. If you are music major/minor or want to learn music history take Beethoven he knows EVERYTHING about Beethoven.
Treats her students like her own kids - so supportive and wants to see you succeed at all times.
Put in the work, and he makes it fun. Playful environment but you learn a lot.
Professor Atanassova is a great teacher who loves to engage with her students and make the class enjoyable for everyone. She is always prepared and very knowledgable in every aspect of the Perspectives class.
Exams were hard, but I was harder. GOATed professor.
The homeworks were a bit too much, but nice prof and a manageable class.
He was nice.
Very excited and passionate professor. Take his class for the History Core.
If you hate exams and love writing or yapping, this is the professor and this is the class you have been waiting for!
Go to his office hours and show improvement in the exams, and he will be reasonable with grading.
Super chill and easy class, but it was kinda boring.
Absolute GOAT. One of the best professors I have had in BC. Her expectations are very reasonable and she is super chill. We need more professors like these at BC.
Took for Logic. Very difficult class but rewarding. Watkins is phenomenal and very smart. Super chill and down to earth. Very response to email and available outside of class.
Took for America and World, could not recommend more. Incredibly intelligent teacher and content was enjoyable and readings weren't too bad. However, her warm personality and desire for student success beyond the class makes her a teacher you must take at some point in your BC career.
horrible professor, no enthusiasm about subjects or students, can barely explain the concepts she is supposed to be an expert in

While I understand some mixed reviews, Fr. McNellis is such an amazing teacher. His style may not be for everyone, but by the end of the year, you will have such a great understanding of the material, and you will have enjoyed doing it. Couldn't ask for a better Perspectives professor.
Such a sweet and caring teacher! She also understands what it's like to learn Spanish, being a native-English speaker which is nice. The Spanish department is pretty bad, but she does her best to make lessons enjoyable and is an easy grader!
Easy A, all quizzes are online and open note. Participation is easy too. She doesn't post videos but posts all of her slideshows. Can be a little passive-aggressive, but is a good teacher and definitely would be nice one-on-one.
Super nice guy. Participation matters, but he is very understanding. Grading can be a bit vague, but there are no tests, and homework is manageable. It was an interesting class, but got a little repetitive, in my opinion.
I highly recommend Professor Smith! He gives a considerable amount of work, however, it really helped my writing. He really cares about every student and is willing to give any help that you need. The books we read were great and it was a very rewarding class!
She is really sweet and really cares about students. Her class is definitely lighter than the other Brain, Mind sections so try your best to get in. The lectures are pretty long and can drag on but she tries hard to make it entertaining and gives out prizes.
She is the sweetest woman ever. This is seriously the best way to fulfill language requirement the department is great. She genuinely wants you to do well, and offers so many extra credit opportunities. One of the best professors I've had at BC
This class is justifiably a 4000 level course. However, expectations are played out clearly and the workload is very manageable. The content is very well curated, and while Professor Smith asks a lot of you, he is always putting in as much if not more effort himself.
