Not an easy A at all. His tests have very specific questions, and I paid attention in class and took notes and still did poorly. The only actual acting is the final, the rest is reading plays which you can't chat your way through. One upside is there is no participation grade.
I definitely recommend Prof. Weiskopf. She's an accountant now at KPMG, knows her stuff and explains things clearly. The class is definitely hard, but if you do the readings and homework you should be ok. Go to her office hours if you need help, she seems to actually care and is helpful.
Nice professor, disorganized course: no slides/syllabus/review materials, monthly assignments, and a 50% final. Office hours are packed and more like mini-lectures; TA support is limited. Not recommended for students without econ background.
best professor in nursing department, study and you will do fine
She is the sweetest woman ever! Loved taking her German class this semester. Super good vibes and if you get into her millennial humour, she is actually funny.
have him for orgo 1, Please no save urself ur GPA; i actually teach myself everything. no one goes to lecture and he reads off his 5-slide presentation and doesnt actualy explain it. horrible for me at least
Great proffessor. Very energetic and takes time to get to know every student. Lots of readings for homework but manageable if you stay on top of it. Makes class go by fast.
While the class itself is not a ton of work, the midterm was insanely difficult and pretty much everything she teaches throughout the semester was fair game. Final was easier, but only because the TA made it. Did not even get grades back on the essays, just a final grade at the end of the year.
If you're looking for an in-depth and well-taught understanding of economics, take Devine. As an econ major, I'm glad I took his class and it's helped me in future ones. Going to lecutre is extremely important for this class however and if you don't, you won't do well. Otherwise, you'll be fine.
Snyder is the goat. CTK is a great time with him and he clearly makes an effort to make conversations engaging.
Not impossible to get an A or A- but you’re gonna have to grind. The optional sections he offers are not optional. Attending those sessions and reviewing the lecture notes after class will be crucial for success because the lectures are all over the place.
Such a great professor. Makes French easy and fun to understand. 100% take if you can.
Bejan's lectures can be a little long-winded but the slides are very useful. Tests are moderately difficult but very straightforward, grading very much depends on the TA you have however. Thick accent. Not a class that you have to go to since the slides are posted, but it's usually worth it.
She is such a queen love you girl
She is truly such a kind human being who is very passionate about the subjects she teaches. She is always willing to help students. The class itself is pretty light with short readings and in-class discussions.
Super nice professor. Only 2 grades; mid-semester portfolio and end of semester portfolio. Everything else is completion. Really lenient with pretty much everything; attendance, grading, late-work, etc. Really wants to support students and a fairly easy class.
Funny professor that makes class engaging. He assigns a lot of readings but you barely have to do them because he goes over them so thoroughly in class. So, as long as you pay attention, his class is easy. Highly recommend; he really makes you question life.
Best. Professor. Ever. She is honestly the nicest person and you can tell she genuinely wants her students to succeed. She doesn't grade any work submitted, only the final project. I wish I could stay in her first year writing forever.
Stage Management Basics was such a useful course, and for more than just theater. I learned a lot about organization and management. She's also a super engaging teacher. 10/10 would take again.
She genuinely wants you to improve as a writer, and you WILL improve. The writing is manageable, and the reading's not that bad
One of the best teachers I've ever had at Boston College. His lectures are a bit fast paced, but they go over the readings in so much depth. I actually understand Machiavelli now. Definitely recommend.
Save yourself. If you're a freshman, your GPA won't forgive you.
I had her for piano lab - I felt intimidated in her classroom and we were expected to perform on the spot to perfection for our grade, making it stressful.
The other lab sections did not have this type of pressure or difficulty, so just take those.
Genuinely the best Professor at BC. Nobody is even close. Take any class he teaches at every opportunity.
Super nice and sweet lady. Quizzes were fair. Labs were very easy to follow and complete. There is a lot of freedom with the final project, and a lot of time to complete all the assignments. Very open to moving due dates as well. She's very enthusiastic, very nice, and overall just great energy
Loved his class he's super patient and unlike other teachers will listen to you 1000 times and explain it again until you get it. you will definitely learn alot !
Professor Arup is a very open minded professor. He’s one of the few who truly listens to his students and communicates with them. You’ll definitely learn a lot from his class and by the end, you might even find yourself planning a future in finance.
Super approachable during office hours but harder concepts are not explained well in class. Dr. Keen is very smart and maybe doesn’t understand what’s confusing students.
She was a great professor - my favorite ive had and was very compassionate and kind. She was flexible and wants you to succeed and I really enjoyed her and this class. Highly recommend taking her class!
Took for state building and conflict. Assignments were manageable and easy, professor was knowledgable and friendly, but exams were impossible and mostly based on trivial facts that weren't emphasized during class/review. Seriously impossible.
