Conducted in Spanish<br>Fulfills post-1800 Peninsular requirement. This course provides detailed analyses of major works (prose, poetry, and theater) of nineteenth-century Spanish Romanticism. The first part is dedicated to the historical romantic drama of Martnez de la Rosa, Duque de Rivas, Garca Gutirrez, Harzenbuch, and Zorilla. The second part concentrates on Larra's <i>Artculos literarios y de costumbres,</i> and the third focuses on the lyric poetry of Espronceda, Bcquer, Campoamor, and Rosala de Castro.
