This course asks foundational questions about the nature of the divine, the human, and the relationship between the two. What is the nature of ultimate reality? How did the world and all in it come to be? Are human beings naturally moral or must we learn how to be good? What is the full capacity of human being? We shall ponder answers to these questions and more by putting selected Biblical and Christian texts in conversation with selected Confucian, Daoist, and Buddhist texts from the Chinese literary canon. Satisfies Core requirement for: Theology (Sacred Texts and Traditions)

Super nice guy and passionate about what he teaches. Readings are brought up in class but not necessary to understand the lectures. Oral midterm was super casual and the final was a design your own project. Randomly takes attendance. Best class for STT

Glad I took this as my THEO requirement. Pino is a nice guy, class does not require much work. Only one oral midterm that is pretty straightforward. The final is a group project. He's goated.

Professor Pino is great. He is really passionate about the course and love when people engage in dialogue. Easy weekly reflections, pretty chill oral midterm, and the final is a group project. Perfect for a theology core.
