Professor Topete is the GOAT. Totally respectful and loves to hear what students think, and lets curiosity lead the discussion. A fair grader and just the nicest guy in the world.

Carroll School of Management
This course is an introduction to operations management. Operations, like accounting, finance, marketing, and human resources, is one of the primary functions of every organization. Operations managers transform human, physical, and technical resources into goods and services. Hence, it is vital that every organization manage this resource conversion effectively and efficiently. How effectively this is accomplished depends upon the linkages between operating decisions and top management (strategic) decisions. The focus of the course is decision-making at the operating level of the firm. A strong emphasis will be placed on the development and use of quantitative models to assist decision making.

Professor Alev is a great professor! Although operations is a boring class at time, she does a great job to make the material as straightforward as possible. She is very easy to reach outside of class and super fair with her grading. Definitely take her class!

Simple class and nice guy. Three tests that are not cumulative. Case studies and HW. Easy to work with and tells you what he expects. Tests aren't easy persay but I would highly recommend for OPS

Find another class if you're trying to actually learn Operations. Prof will only go over "conceptual ideas" in office hours and ignore your questions about practice exercises. Impossible to contact TA's if your schedule does not comply with their office hours. Class sucks but push through.

Professor Alev was great for ops. Her class was pretty straightforward and the exams were very fair- similar to class problems and the practice exams. She is such a kind professor and cares about her students.
