Professor Thomas has to be the best professor for the philosophy core at BC. Genuinely cares about students, explains concepts clearly, and makes the content relatable to contemporary events. Workload is also VERY manageable.

Svetelj is a nice guy but he makes the class unreasonably hard. If you are taking a philosophy core, I would highly recommend against him. Midterm and final are both 30% of your grade and the average was around a C. Terrible teacher to take to knock out philosophy core.
one of my favorite profs I've had at BC- doesn't expect too much but you get rewarded if you pay attention and participate- very nice guy on top of that cares about his classes for sure and the info he teaches I think is very useful without any fluff and you learn a lot
BEST PROFESSOR EVER. Truly inspiring guy, funny, and spontaneous. Super chill class, 6 pop quizzes, 2 exams (allowed to bring cheat cards), and 1 presentation. Learned so much from him, very knowledgeable too, THE person to have deep conversations with.
There is truly no greater professor at BC like if you can take him please for the love of God take him he is the GOAT. I want to take him for every class ever at BC
Genuinely the best class ever you will regret not taking philosophy with jesse I have so much fun every class.
Attendance is necessary, but other than that, super easy class. He is obviously passionate and has some weird references at times, but overall good class for an easy Phil elective
Professor Brittingham is an awesome guy. He is very passionate about philosophy and loves what he does. Lectures were often cut short or canceled. The workload is very manageable (just readings and short papers), which he grades fairly easily.
This class wasn't hard, but sometimes it was hard to follow what was happening in the classroom. He grades his essays based on whether you structured it exactly how he asked you to. He really values class participation, making it 20% of your grade. Attendance is necessary or else your grade drops.
